Holy Blogging, Batman, it’s almost 2014! Where did the year go?!?! Did I miss summer? Did I even have a birthday? To remind myself that yes, the year did happen, I decided to take a look back at my top five posts of 2013. I toyed with the idea for a while because I just did a Review of my First Year Blogging a couple of months ago…but believe it or not, the numbers have changed! And a few new posts appeared! But enough babbling…here are my Top 5 Posts of 2013!
This was one of my early-ish posts in my illustrious blogging career (you know, the full year I’ve had!). It includes a free printable of the flavors and uses of herbs and spices. It’s actually very handy and I learned a lot while putting it together. You should check it out!
The way this post exploded amazed me! I created this recipe as part of a Virtual Progressive Thanksgiving Dinner that I participated in with a bunch of other fabulous bloggers this year…and out of my over 100 posts it has already shot to number four! And I totally wrote the recipe myself…and it was good! :) Take a look!
This is the post that keeps on giving! I liked it when I first pulled the recipes together, but had no idea that it would become so popular! I’m so glad that it has! I have yet to try all of the recipes, but love the sound of all of them. If you’re looking for something other than your run-of-the-mill chili, these bloggers have some really great ideas! (I mean hello…pumpkin, beer, chili…how can it be bad?)
I have had a lot of e-mails about this post, and I am SO glad. Apparently people find the timeline helpful, which is great since that’s what I was going for! Planning a wedding can be so stressful, especially when you shrink the timeline to about half of what a lot of people do, or at least what a lot of timelines show. I hope to make a few variations of this timeline in 2014. Stay tuned!
To this day, I cannot figure out what is so great about this post, but it went crazy popular this year BEFORE Halloween! Hey, I’m not complaining! The crafts that the bloggers who are included in this roundup made are awesome. I wish that I had more to do with it other than just curating! The funniest thing to me is that I had NO idea who Shanty-2-Chic was when I first did the post…and then I ended up at Haven Conference with them this summer! The blogging world is so small!
Before the year closes I want to thank you ALL for reading my blog! I really really really appreciate it and hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy creating the content and writing about it!
So what are you doing to commemorate 2013? What about to celebrate the coming of 2014? I’d love to hear all about it!!!!
