Happy Weekend, Everyone! I’m excited about today’s project because it looks really neat, but it’s SO EASY! (SHHH…don’t tell anyone!) I do have to admit that I was wishing my fingers were a bit more nimble…but I made it through without any injury! But enough jabbering…here it is!
Here is what you’ll need:
- A Chain Link Bracelet (I got mine at SmartParts)
- 25 Buttons with Shanks (a little ring on the back)
- 25 Jump Rings (make sure they are big enough to fit the shanks and the bracelet links)
With your jump ring open, loop it through the button shank, and then through the link of the bracelet. You can do it in the opposite order, but I found that looping it through the button first was easier.
Next, secure the button to the bracelet link by closing the jump ring with your pliers. And now you’re on your way to making a great bracelet!
Simply continue the process, one link at a time.
I know I didn’t mention it in the supplies, but I included an actual charm on mine. I just liked it.
My bracelet had 28 links total–I only put 25 buttons on, starting on the end with the clasp. I left the last three links open so that the bracelet would be somewhat adjustable in regards to size. Once I hit link 25, it was finished!
I really like the finished product. Of course, I did have designer buttons from my boss’s wife to use! But I know that any combination of buttons will look great.
Do you like it? Are you going to make one? Be sure to check out SmartParts on Etsy. The prices and selection are great, and I had my order within a couple of days. Can’t beat that!
